Day 7: Walking It Out — Living What We’ve Learned This Week
Over the past seven days, we’ve been on a journey together—listening for God in the silence, noticing Him in the ordinary, and allowing His heart for accessibility and Deaf inclusion to reshape how we think about church and mission. Today, on Day 7, we pause to look back, gather the threads, and ask God to weave them into a way of life.
One Story, Many Threads: Faith, Waiting, Presence, and Inclusion
This series may have felt like it had two big themes: our personal walk with God, and the church’s call to accessibility and Deaf inclusion. But really, they are one story. Trusting God in silence trains our hearts to wait on Him; noticing Him in everyday life opens our eyes to people we’ve overlooked; listening to the Holy Spirit makes us attentive to those on the margins; and embracing accessibility and American Sign Language (ASL) puts flesh on our belief that every person bears God’s image.
When we slow down, listen, and respond to God’s presence, our discipleship naturally becomes more inclusive. We begin to ask not only, “How is God meeting me?” but also, “How is God inviting me to make room for others, especially Deaf neighbors and people with disabilities, in the life of His church?” This is everyday discipleship: ordinary people, led by the Spirit, creating communities that reflect the kingdom of God.
