I’ll admit it: I’m fascinated by this whole AI explosion. The AI Action Summit in Paris earlier this month—February 10-11, 2025, at the fancy Grand Palais—had me hooked. Bigwigs like Emmanuel Macron, Narendra Modi, and even our own JD Vance were losing their minds over hyper-realistic deepfakes and autonomous weapons, clashing like it was a sci-fi showdown. Not because I’m some Silicon Valley wannabe, but because it’s like watching Blade Runner unfold while I’m still figuring out how to unclog my sink. Over 1,000 folks from 100+ countries debated AI’s wild ride (AI Action Summit Official Website), and it’s got me thinking: the U.S. needs to handle this beast. Spoiler: I’m not here to chain up the robots or let them run wild—I want a flexible approach, a little strict but not too strict, because we’re still in the floppy-disk days of this thing.
